9.30-11.30am Mantra in Motion - Moving energy to embrace life
This session is an experiential journey of personal healing through sound, breath and movement; transforming no into yes, fear into love, pain into pleasure, and tension into release. For the birthing woman, and anyone wanting to embrace their full potential.
$20 includes morning tea. No children please.
Facilitated by Nemone Sloane (BAppSc). Nemone has a deeply intuitive ability to sense and feel energy, and holds a safe, nurturing space for transformation. She is a sound healer, transformational dance facilitator, and yoga teacher with a lifetime’s experience in yoga, dance, bodywork, facilitation, and shamanic healing. Nemone is currently completing a new prenatal yoga DVD, studying Transpersonal Counseling, and being a Mum to her two young girls.

1-3.30pm Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering - making choices using wisdom and instinct

Join Dr Sarah Buckley as she discusses the instincts and pleasures of pregnancy, birth and mothering, and how to make wise choices. Topics include: care and protection in pregnancy; optimal environments for labour and birth; the wisdom of milk brain and night waking; attachment parenting and species survival and much more.

7-10pm Ecstatic Birth; the science and the wisdom

In this session you will learn about the ecstatic hormones of undisturbed birth; what disturbs birth; the impact of interventions such as induction, epidurals and caesareans; the pleasure and importance of the hour after birth; cord clamping and cord blood banking… and much more. A great session for men to come and learn about what happens in their partner’s body during the birthing process.
$20 includes supper.
Both above sessions facilitated by Dr. Sarah Buckley, GP, author of the book Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering (recently updated for 2009) and currently full-time mother to her four home-born children. Her writing blends science and wisdom, showing how superbly designed women’s bodies are, for pregnancy, birth and mothering and she encourages us all to follow our parenting hearts and instincts in service to our children.
