9.30 – 11.30am Ego and Birthing
Join Rhea Dempsey in an examination of the impact ego directed motivations have on birth choices, the physiological process and mother-caregiver dynamics. This session will highlight the importance of self -awareness and deep self-inquiry when approaching our birth choices.
$20 includes morning tea.

1-4pm Sex and Parenting
A discussion of the challenges couples face in renegotiating their intimate relationship during the early parenting years. In this session we will explore attachment processes, mate selection and sexual connection…and more. A session particularly for couples and of course everyone is welcome.
$20 includes afternoon tea.
Both the above sessions are facilitated by Rhea Dempsey, acclaimed birth educator and birth attendant, whose unique presence, wisdom and skill has supported and empowered women in birth for over 30 years.

5-6.30pm A taste of Yoga Bliss for pregnant mamas
Yoga to nurture your body temple and connect with your baby on a deep spiritual level. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Learn how to use yoga as a powerful tool in preparation for birth both physically and psychologically. Discover restorative poses and poses that facilitate a natural birth, work with the breath, enjoy a baby meditation and a deep relaxation.
This session a complimentary gift for pregnant women.
Tamsenne is a mother of four children and has been practicing yoga for fifteen years. She discovered yoga whilst pregnant with her first child and has been teaching locally since 1997. She is passionate about bringing the joy of yoga to pregnant mamas and sharing her broad knowledge and experience of this ancient practice. She is currently working on producing a pre-natal DVD with a local film-maker.

7.30-10pm ‘Orgasmic Birth’ – Film screening
A documentary film that examines the intimate nature of birth and the powerful role it plays in women’s lives when they are permitted to experience it fully. Enter the world of undisturbed birth as eleven couples share their intimate personal journeys, facing their fears and moving through pain into the ecstasy of birth. The screening will be followed by a discussion of the themes presented in the film.
